The Protein Myth (FACTS); Stop Worrying about Protein!

listen The Protein Myth (FACTS); Stop Worrying about Protein!

This is a review of some main points about protein as a follow up from our January 18th article titled, “The Truth About Protein.” It seems that people just do not understand the idea because the mainstream has done such a brilliant job mis-educating everyone. I suppose that if I had some of the technologies they have, things would be a different story.

There are so many questions:

Where does an elephant get its protein? How does an elephant get so big on vegetation? How come vegetarians are not dying in the streets from lack of protein? How can a horse get so big and strong only eating grass? How come the monkey family has the strongest upper-body of all mammals just by eating bananas, nuts and seeds?

The answer is simple, protein is not the key.

An elephant gets as big as it does because it was designed to become that big; this is its natural state.  A human is not supposed to get as big as most do but with massive amounts of protein they do! Unnatural. Humans might as well take steroids because it is as unnatural as it is to intake massive amounts of protein. Protein turns to fat when an excessive amount is consumed.

Center for Disease Control (CDC)

Even the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a government agency in the US of A, believe it or not, tell us that men ages 17 and up should get 56g of protein a day. People must understand that these numbers are actually high numbers so that people get enough so the numbers are exaggerated in order to encourage people to get more versus less. The real number is probably a lot less, could be as low as 30g per day. All RDA’s are calculated with large safety allowances.

However, this still does not make any sense. We are to believe, according to their recommendations, that a child ages between 1-3 should have about 13 grams of protein per day? In the time of a human’s life when they double and triple in size they only need and can achieve this with 13 grams of protein a day? Simply amazing! Did you know that of all the mammals on the planet, human mother’s milk ranks the lowest in protein at 0.9%? Again, the time when a human baby doubles and triples in size! Breathe taking, is it not? Doubling and tripling in size on 0.9% protein!

The US National Research Council

The NRC recommends .75g/kilo/day for adults above 19 years of age, which equals 45 grams per day for an average 60kg adult (Dr. Richard Havel, University of California, San Francisco).

World Health Organization (WHO)

Even lower, the WHO‘s recommended daily allowance for protein is 0.6g/kilo/person/ per day for a 60 kg adult, which calculates to about 36g/day. And remember, these calculations include large safety allowances meaning that safe levels of protein are well below 36 grams per day – an amount that barely registers and can be achieved with a salad.

In addition

It must be noted that the RDA’s have been slowly going down throughout the years; new RDAs being lower than previous years as more research develops.

Physiologist Barry Brenner states that excessive protein is damaging to the kidney tubule.

Who is benefiting from all this protein intake?

The dairy corporations, the meat farms (chicken, pig, and cow), the doctors/hospitals, the pharmaceutical companies, and the taxes made of these industries are the ones benefiting. There are too many powerful organization and companies benefiting from this industry of “the need of protein,” that it would be difficult to get the truth to be admitted.

Protein is good if a person wants to be abnormally big, but since we are doing things we are not supposed to do, why not just go straight to steroids? In theory, there is not much of a difference! They both make you abnormally big and both unnatural.

If you saw a cow in Costa Rica and compared it to a cow in the US of A, you would notice that there is a difference in size and fat. The cows in Costa Rica look like they are anorexic, where the cows in the US of A look “healthy” as we have been conditioned to think. Maybe it is just that the cows in Costa Rica are just the size they are supposed to be and not excessively force fed and drugged as they are in the US of A and other parts of the world.

There should be no concern about protein. You do not see the animals in nature all concerned about protein do you? No, they just eat what mother nature has provided for them, while exercising and sleeping in the great outdoors. Maybe we should go back to our roots?

By the way, pound for pound, green vegetables have more protein percentage wise than any meat you can find.
