Triclosan, a chemical used for its antibacterial properties, is an ingredient in many detergents, dish-washing liquids, soaps, deodorants, cosmetics, lotions, anti-microbial creams, various toothpastes, and an additive in various plastics and textiles. However, the safety of triclosan has been questioned in regard to environmental and human health. While the companies that manufacture products containing this chemical claim that it is safe, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has registered it as a pesticide. The chemical formulation and molecular structure of this compound are similar to some of the most toxic chemicals on earth, relating it to dioxins and PCBs. The EPA gives triclosan high scores both as a human health risk and as an environmental risk.

Triclosan is a chlorophenol, a class of chemicals which is suspected of causing cancer in humans. Externally, phenol can cause a variety of skin irritations, but since it can temporarily deactivate sensory nerve endings, contact with it may cause little or no pain. Taken internally, even in small amounts, phenol can lead to cold sweats, circulatory collapse, convulsions, coma and death. Additionally, chlorinated hydrocarbon pesticides can be stored in body fat, sometimes accumulating to toxic levels. Long term exposure to repeated use of many pesticide products can damage the liver, kidneys, heart and lungs, suppress the immune system, and cause hormonal disruption, paralysis, sterility and brain haemorrhages. Ethyl Alcohol, Ethanol, Grain Alcohol, and Alcohol

listen Ethyl Alcohol, Ethanol, Grain Alcohol, and Alcohol

Source: http://www.britannica.com

Ethyl Alcohol is a member of a class of organic compounds that are given the general name alcohols; its molecular formula is C2H5OH. Ethyl alcohol is an important industrial chemical; it is used as a solvent, in the synthesis of other organic chemicals, and as an additive to automotive gasoline (forming a mixture known as a gasohol). Ethyl alcohol is also the intoxicating ingredient of many alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine, and distilled spirits.

There are two main processes for the manufacture of ethyl alcohol: the fermentation of carbohydrates (the method used for alcoholic beverages) and the hydration of ethylene. Fermentation involves the transformation of carbohydrates to ethyl alcohol by growing yeast cells. The chief raw materials fermented for the production of industrial alcohol are sugar crops such as beets and sugarcane and grain crops such as corn (maize). Hydration of ethylene is achieved by passing a mixture of ethylene and a large excess of steam at high temperature and pressure over an acidic catalyst. Read more »

Food For Human Consumption | What you can eat

listen Food For Human Consumption | What you can eat

Whether at a seminar, a small group presentation, or when meeting new people, I often get the question, “What are we supposed to eat?” Because I tell them that just about everything that they consume is not good for them, they assume that there is nothing else available for them to eat. They quickly get on the defensive and make other famous remarks such as, “Maybe we should stop eating.” The reply to this statement is “There are thousands of fruits and vegetables to eat; why don’t you eat some of them?”

It is interesting that we do not see cancer in nature, or we do not see disease in nature, unless nature is in captivity under the supervision of humans; this is because humans change their diet and lifestyle from the original diet millions of years ago. This is the same reason that humans are getting these very diseases. We are also nature in captivity; we are in the captivity of: modern society, culture, and religion.

We are animals of the Earth. In the beginning, we were not born in hospitals, we were born under the sun and trees. Animals today are still born or hatched in the wild, and they do not need vaccines, drugs, doctors, or anything else of that nature. They were designed to have birth on their own and have everything they need to accomplish this; we humans are no different.

We were designed to eat certain things, and these things are available to be eaten with ease to our digestive system. We all know what all the other animals on the Earth were meant to eat, but there are so many opinions on the diet of a human; we know nothing about what humans were meant to eat. This is such an insult to our own intelligence. How can we call ourselves the smartest species? Animals are so in touch with their six sense and instinct; we on the other hand, do not have a clue that we can possess this gifts.

To answer the question of what we can eat, general headings will be used. The list of food we can eat is so long no one could eat all of it in one day or even one week.

Fruit

You can eat any fruit you want, and there are many. To give you a brief idea, there are at least 2ooo types of fruit. The west has access to about 10 percent.  You can eat as much fruit as you would like; the only side effect is a strong immune system and a balanced mind and body. Of course, it is not such a good idea to eat the fatty fruits (Durian and avocado) all day long; fat is still a minimal requirement for the human body.

Vegetables

From our research, the best vegetables, which are the easiest to digest and give us the salts (minerals) we need the most include: celery, tomatoes, all varieties of leafy greens, colored variety of capsicum peppers, and cucumbers . Of course eating them raw is preferred as well as organic – why would anyone want to eat fake vegetables (GMO, GME)?

Nuts

There are a large number of nuts available to eat. However, they should also be eaten raw and organic, meaning off the tree. Organic is a must here because they are very good at absorbing that they are frequently used to clean the soil, which have been destroyed by pesticides that were previously sprayed on the land from previous farming. Purchased from a store in a bag is not considered raw. Keep these to a minimum because of their fat content, and the fact that they are not in season long – meaning that we are not to eat them often. That is a message from nature. May people consume nuts during the nut season, which only last a few weeks in a year. If you cannot get them raw and fresh from a tree, do not bother.

Seeds

Seeds are bird food. They contain enzyme inhibitors, which cause a whole bunch of health problems. We need enzymes not enzyme inhibiting food. Raw or not, if food cannot be properly digested, they should not be eaten.

Liquid Consumption

Water comes in perfect form from fruits and vegetables. Water from a spring is the best; if you do not have access to natures supply of water, buy an atmospheric water generator, so that you know your water is clean. The more filtering procedures the better when it comes to atmospheric water. The atmosphere is full of toxins thanks to factories and modern technology.

Children

Children should drink mother’s milk until they let you know they do not want it anymore. Just because they chew on your house keys that does not mean they want solid food; it means that they are orally exploring as a famous psychologist once said. When they start to grow teeth, this is a sign from nature telling the parent that it is time to explore with solids. The only food their delicate bodies can digest in the beginning are mushed up fruit and nothing else; coconut water could also be introduced in the beginning (not the coconut meat). This could go on for up to about 3-5 years. This process must be done as gradual as possible. Children need to be listened to; they know more than parents when it come to feeding them.

Human’s natural food source

The human’s natural food supply is so easy. Pick it and eat it. It does not get much easier than that. Very little preparation and clean up is involved. It is the real definition of fast food. Have you ever timed yourself when pealing and eating a banana? With the mention of the peal, we bring up the environmental issues. The peal of a fruit goes back into nature without damaging it. No oil or energy is used to prepare it. These are topics which must be considered also important.

When it comes to your baby’s lotions, shampoos or powders, you need to go green. Doctors and researchers have found many personal care products used on babies are laced with the harmful phthalates.

Toxic to wee ones
Phthalates are man-made chemicals used in plastic and vinyl products to make them soft. They are also found in cosmetics and personal care products in the form of fragrances and colours. Traces of these chemicals are showing up in everyone’s blood but infants and toddlers seem to have the highest concentration.

At first, researchers thought children were picking up traces from sucking or chewing on plastic on toys or from playing on dusty floors. Read more »
