(101HealthSteps.com) The liver is something that everyone has; however, knows very little about.
Every time you breathe chemicals, including perfumes from soaps, air fresheners, and cleaners, or put something in your mouth, whether it be liquid or food, the toxins from that source is processed by the liver, making your liver have to work that much harder. The amount of pesticides, herbicides, hormones, colors, preservatives, additives, and so on processed by the liver daily is staggering. The liver is not only the largest inner organ but also a very important one; it is the organ that assimilates nutrients, produces essential chemicals and detoxifies your body, additionally, it processes 1/3 of the bodies blood per minute.
It is the only organ that regenerates itself. And it is because of its ability to regenerate that we do not die due to the toxins around us everyday. However, the symptoms of a weak liver still arises such as fatigue, poor digestion and many more other symptoms.
There are two primary jobs that the liver has, and one is as a factory for creating chemicals such as enzymes, chemicals that control cholesterol, produces bile and about another 500 other functions to maintain a healthy body. In addition, it produces proteins and hormones.
The second function of the liver is to filter complex biochemical, which is the process of keeping the good and detoxifying the bad – because of today’s toxic world, the liver is simply trying to stay alive not giving it the chance to do its job, which is to function optimally. This filter can also rearrange the chemical structure of toxins making them harmless.
Industrial waste adds up to about one ton per person that people are being inundated with each year. This does not include the alcohol, legal or illegal drugs, food additives, pesticides, herbicides, chlorine and so on, that we subject ourselves with everyday.
The liver is so amazing that it can function with only 20 percent power. However, this means that when you receive the signals that it is dying, it maybe too late.
Some symptoms include: abdominal pain, depression, dizziness, feeling sluggish, great difficulties digesting fat, mild nausea, muscle or joint pain, physical weakness, elevated levels of LDL cholesterol irritable bowel syndrome, gallstones and gallbladder disease, sugar cravings, bad breathe, coated tongue, acne, dark circles around the eyes, poor concentration, depression, mood changes, recurrent headaches, immune dysfunction, allergies like sinus and asthma and tiredness — an inflammation of the liver caused by virus is called hepatitis.
Things that harm the liver include pharmaceutical drugs, immune system disorder exposure to toxins and metabolic disorder.
A few tips to avoid liver disease include: no alcohol, no drugs (legal or illegal), stay away from toxic chemicals, eat a high fruit and vegetable diet (raw whole food organic diet), and use your own toothbrush and razor.
Low-fat, raw fruits and vegetables relieve congestion of the liver, spleen, and kidney. They also stimulate the production of the enzyme (GSH) that protects us against chemical attack’s on cells.
Some food that can assist the liver include: broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, pears, and apples. Actually, all fruits do as well.
A quick note regarding children, young children are still building their immune system and the toxic chemicals listed above from all sources including perfumes and toxins found in meat (food) should be kept away from them at all cost, especially these days where we are being subjected to the most chemical ever in history (500 billion pounds of industrial waste a year). Only feed your little babies raw whole organic fruits and vegetables.
