As a paradigm of the original poison, alcohol serves in many remarkable ways. Reverting to the series of requirements listed on in the previous chapter, we find that the following characteristics of alcohol largely fulfill these requirements.

(a) It is a protoplasmic poison. To be intoxicated is to be poisoned. Its potent effect in small quantities has been known for many years. In 1908 Sir Victor Horsley quoted a Dr. Rauber, who experimented with the effects of alcohol on living cells, as follows: (137)

Using principally a 10% solution (alcohol in water), Rauber found that alcohol acts as a definite protoplasmic poison upon all the forms of cell life with which he experimented. All these investigations proved clearly that animal and vegetable protoplasm is harmfully affected by even very small quantities of alcohol. Read more »

durian Hypercholesterolemia and Diabetes Mellitus and DurianEditor’s comments: Add durian to your diet because durian’s a fruit provided by nature. This fruit carries all the nutrients most fruits offer; however, durian’s also contain 33% fat, which is high compared to other fruit. As mentioned in a previous article, it was explained how the consumption of over 10% of daily calories as fat is detrimental to ones health regardless of source, just as too much water will drown you. The human organism only requires 10% of less of fat in our daily diet. We function on whole, simple carbohydrates. When you eat durian, be sure to wait until it opens on its own. It will open up for you to pry open when it is ripe. Have durian in moderation due to its high levels of fat. Life is easy. Read more »

The Durian Fruit

listen The Durian Fruit

durian fruit 150x150 The Durian Fruit(Philippine Herbal Medicine) Durian is the name of the tree and the fruit. Durian is an expensive and exotic fruit from Asia and is referred to as “The king of all fruits”. The name is derived from the Malay word “duri” meaning thorn – due to its thick, tough and thorny husk. The durian fruit is either loved by durian aficionados with an almost cult like fervor or hated by those repelled by it’s smell. The rich, buttery smooth and luscious flesh of the durian fruit is delicious and is comparable to no other fruit. However, the disagreeable odor of the durian fruit gave birth to this often repeated phrase: “durian is a fruit that smells like hell but taste like heaven”. While almost everyone who has tasted the durian fruit agrees the taste is heavenly, no two ever describes the taste the same. Read more »

Researchers believe that through control of the electrical charges in the air we breathe, our moods, energy level, and health can be markedly improved!

Today, our modern homes and offices seal out negative ions. Computer terminals, fluorescent lighting, forced air ventilation systems, and modern building materials generate an over abundance of positive ions. Positive ions make us feel tired, depressed and irritable.

Balancing the ionization in your home may help to combat the ill feelings associated with our stressful lifestyles. The worlds most tranquil and refreshing regions are loaded with billions of negative ions. Air near waterfalls, mountains, beaches and forests are among those places where ionization levels are in complete and natural balance. Read more »

City Questions Circumcision Ritual After Baby Dies

listen City Questions Circumcision Ritual After Baby Dies

medical scissors City Questions Circumcision Ritual After Baby DiesEditor’s comments: Keeping it as close to nature as possible, wouldn’t it make sense that we were born with everything we need? Why does it make sense to cut something we were born with? Did you know that the foreskin keeps the hole protected from bacteria, oppose to the ancient fallacies most people believe. How could nature provide men with something that needed be removed? Did you know that sensitivity drops by 90% when circumcised? Did you know that sensitivity continues to reduce as the penis is rubbing on under clothing throughout the years? Should we really do things for the sake of culture or religion, and for the reason that we have just always done things in a particular way? Did you know that the Vatican murdered people who believed that the world was not the center of the universe? When will the people in this world stop being such bigots and start to have an open mind and respect other people with out of the norm concepts? When will we go back to nature and do things the right way? The foreskin is the protection for the penis; it is the cover, its clothing!

A circumcision ritual practiced by some Orthodox Jews has alarmed city health officials, who say it may have led to three cases of herpes – one of them fatal – in infants. But after months of meetings with Orthodox leaders, city officials have been unable to persuade them to abandon the practice.

The city’s intervention has angered many Orthodox leaders, and the issue has left the city struggling to balance its mandate to protect public health with the constitutional guarantee of religious freedom.

“This is a very delicate area, so to speak,” said Health Commissioner Thomas R. Frieden.

The practice is known as oral suction, or in Hebrew, metzitzah b’peh: after removing the foreskin of the penis, the practitioner, or mohel, sucks the blood from the wound to clean it.

It became a health issue after a boy in Staten Island and twins in Brooklyn, circumcised by the same mohel in 2003 and 2004, contracted Type-1 herpes. Most adults carry the disease, which causes the common cold sore, but it can be life-threatening for infants. One of the twins died. Read more »
