What is BPA and am I exposed to it?

listen What is BPA and am I exposed to it?

(Natural Society) Bisphenol A (BPA) is a widely used chemical substance. This chemical exists in nearly every plastic container, is used as lining for metal cans, and can even be found on receipts, toilet paper and worldwide currency.

BPA leaches from its container into whatever it happens to contain. If you microwave a TV dinner for example, the chemical content of the plastic container would find its way into the food you are going to eat. Likewise, when bottled water or a soft drink is manufactured and shelved, BPA leaches into the liquid over the time it takes to be purchased and consumed.

Because of its widespread application in all forms of packaging, manufacturing and otherwise, chances are that you are somehow interacting with this substance on a daily basis. Many other countries have already declared BPA a toxin and prohibited its usage in a number of products.

BPA’s Role in Disease

BPA is an endocrine disruptor. It mimics the natural hormones produced by your body, specifically estrogen. When your body interacts with BPA, it delivers an estrogen-mimicking effect. This is known to lead to a host of health problems including infertility, cancer, weight gain and more. This hormonal interference may also be responsible for accelerating puberty and altering the growth of children, causing hormonal confusion.

Many studies suggest a widespread range of additional effects, including altered immune function, neurological and behavior problems, heart disease, and diabetes. Even low levels of exposure can cause adverse effects on health. Its been stated that 95% of paper money has been found to contain BPA, which means that an equally large fraction of individuals worldwide have at some point been exposed to this chemical at least from touching it on a regular basis.

What is more dangerous is that due to its use in food preservation, many people are unwittingly consuming this harmful chemical, which is much worse than topical exposure. The widespread effects of BPA are being increasingly recognized throughout the world. Despite this, once its presence in society is removed, one can expect the number of health issues associated to vanish alongside it.

Vitamin D’s effect on your children walking early

listen Vitamin Ds effect on your children walking early

Editor’s Note:  An article published on Mail Online notifies us that vitamin D is a very important part of our life, and how it is important that children (people) obtain vitamin D. The best source of this comes from the sun (Something the article below fails to expand on). However, it does suggest that individuals that do not go outside for enough sunshine eat food that contains vitamin D such as fish oil. The problem with this solution is that fish oil is 100% fat and is an isolated nutrient, which is very dangerous because they are designed to work with other nutrients and are a hazard if taken other than whole. It is important that children (people) acquire vitamin directly from the sun during the best times of the day for any human organism to absorb nutrients from the sun: before 10am and after 4pm. These times of the day are when the sun has to start cutting through more atmosphere. Twenty to sixty minutes a day is ample amount of sun sourced vitamin D for you and your child. Sunblock blocks vitamin D. Vitamin D is what enables other nutrients to function properly (nutrients function similarly to a symphony). The article mentions how “experts” recommend that supplements be administered; however, stronger research proves against this recommendation and for individuals to stick with the sun to acquire vitamin D. The article below also highlights the fact that more and more people are  vitamin D deficient, and this is due to the recent fear of the sun by PR that promote products for financial gain as well as the poor diet most people have these days.  This problem of vitamin deficient would disappear if individuals would only go outside as they were designed to do. To address the worries of damage from the sun on the skin, how would we explain the millions of years our specie has evolved outdoors? The reason for the recent issues (besides corporate PR) is that our diets are void of the nutrients the body requires to protect us from the sun (similar to drowning: water is health but too much will drown us).  [This note covers the main points, and it is actually unnecessary to read the article below.]

(Mail Online) A quarter of all toddlers in the UK are lacking Vitamin D, according to research.

Despite a recommendation that all children under five should take Vitamin D supplements, 74 per cent of parents know nothing about the guidelines. And more than half of health professionals are also unaware of them. Read more »

Aluminum’s link to cancer

listen Aluminums link to cancer

(Activist PostWe are all unwillingly exposed to a range of cancer-causing chemicals and substances every day. One substance that the globalists and government don’t want you know about that could be causing you considerable harm and health problems is aluminium.

The fact is most people are exposed to aluminium on a daily basis. Very little is publicized about the risks and dangers of being exposed to aluminium, and most of us are unaware of how many common products use aluminium as a medium of storage or control.

New research published in the Journal of Applied Toxicology has revealed that long-term exposure of MCF-10A human mammary epithelial cells to aluminium results in anchorage-independent growth, a key hallmark of cultured tumour cells and of cells on the way to malignant transformation. This study also found that shorter (7 days) exposure to aluminium results in diminished cell numbers owing to cellular senescence. Read more »

Choose organics to avoid artificial dyes, pesticides linked to ADHD

listen Choose organics to avoid artificial dyes, pesticides linked to ADHD

(Natural News) The US food supply is riddled with petroleum-based, artificial food dyes and synthetic chemical pesticides, both of which have been linked to causing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other behavioral problems in children. So in order to avoid them, the Organic Trade Association (OTA) is urging parents to shop certified organic, as this is the only food category that is designed to be free of these harmful toxins.

A 2007 study conducted by researchers at the University of Southampton in the UK is what initially prompted a review by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) into the safety ofartificial foodcolors and pesticides. That study found a direct correlation between consumption of artificial additives and a spike in ADHD rates among children (http://www.medpagetoday.com/Psychiatry/ADHD-ADD/6610). Read more »

Food dyes linked to cancer: Report

listen Food dyes linked to cancer: Report
(QMI Agency) Many artificial food dyes that colour everything from breakfast cereal to ice cream should be banned because they pose cancer risks, a new report from the Center for Science in the Public Interest says.”These synthetic chemicals do absolutely nothing to improve the nutritional quality or safety of foods, but trigger behaviour problems in children and, possibly, cancer in anybody,” said CSPI executive director Michael F. Jacobson, co-author of the report, Food Dyes: A Rainbow of Risks.Manufacturers worldwide each year use about seven million kilograms of artificial colours in common prepared foods like cookies, candy, pop and ice cream.
